 Gouache Landscape Painting

Picture
I have been painting for many years using gouache as my medium of choice.  Gouache is a paint that I became familiar with while attending The Ontario College of Art, where we were taught its use for communication and design  applications.  Shortly after leaving school, I began using gouache to paint landscapes.  Like most of us I live in an urban environment but I try to spend as much time as possible enjoying the incredible natural world that surrounds us.  It is here that I am most at home.  My paintings provide windows to the forests and lakes, sunlight and reflections that are part of our incredible Canadian scenery.
I paint with a limited palette, using the three primary colours and white.  I enjoy mixing the many colours, tints and shades that are part of the vibrant landscapes I paint.  I work from my studio in my home in Richmond Hill, Ontario and can be reached via e-mail.
